Layering in Luxury
For this project, an interior concept was developed around the ideas of layering, refinement and understated luxury. The design carefully balances a rich and exclusive aesthetic with a strong focus on usability and comfort. The concept subtly draws inspiration from the world of Rolls-Royce, where timeless elegance, high-quality materials and meticulous attention to detail define the overall experience.

Considering the international clientele of Mulder Shipyard, the interior concept was developed with a global perspective in mind. The design aims to appeal to diverse markets by combining a sophisticated luxury aesthetic with a timeless and accessible design language.
Through the use of indirect lighting, carefully integrated light lines and subtle accents, a layered lighting scheme is created that highlights the architectural qualities of the space.
Together, the combination of form, material and light results in an interior that feels elegant, distinctive and highly considered.

Lighting plays a key role within the concept and is used deliberately to enhance the sense of depth and luxury throughout the interior.

This is particularly evident in the Master Cabin, where unexpected curves in the ceiling introduce a dynamic spatial element. A refined interplay of linear lighting emphasizes these shapes and guides the eye through the space, creating an atmosphere that feels both calm and luxurious.
The room is designed as a serene retreat where comfort, light, and craftsmanship come together. A palette of soft, natural tones forms the foundation of the space, while exclusive golden accents and refined textiles add depth and a sense of quiet luxury.
The combination of textures within a single architectural composition demonstrates the project's signature approach: blending multiple materials into a single element.
