In the lively Dutch political capital of The Hague 13
you will find this penthouse with international flair and
a very detailed finish. It is the ultimate translation of the
feeling that one can achieve a worldly, sexy and modern
lifestyle in between hectic business trips.
A special feature of the design is the composition.
The overall appearance was created by dividing up the
penthouse in a completely new way. Various walls were
moved and the wooden staircase with a landing, which
led to the first floor, was replaced by a unique straight
flight of stairs made of wood and steel. Everything was
designed by Roelfien Vos herself.

This warm summer flat is on the coast and offers a fabulous view of the sea. The owners’ wish to bring the
outdoors inside has resulted in a fresh and bright interior that radiates tranquillity.
Roelfien Vos designed the whole interior. She designed the layout with the routing, the lighting plan, the ceiling plan, the floor plan, the materials and the colour plan. She then also designed and arranged the furnishings.
A prison director once lived in this Dutch historical 81
monument which dates from the end of the 19th century.
Here, Roelfien Vos created an atmospheric whole using
colour and materials. The customer’s commission was to
create an interior that was appropriate to the age of the
building, without making residents feel they were living
in a museum.
The family that lives here used to live in cities scattered all over the world. These citizens of the world have now chosen a villa behind the dunes to make their domestic wishes a reality. In this beautiful spot their international experiences are clearly visible.
A tropical atmosphere emanates from the conservatory. The natural-looking green walls symbolize nature. The furniture and lighting give this lovely family room a cosy, domestic feel. The spacious custom-made kitchen is right next to the conservatory and has become an important room in which the family can enjoy cooking, eating and other family activities in ideal surroundings.
Revived cigar factoryRequest more information about this project
Two elements resulted in a particularly well-considered design with clear lines – an old cigar factory without a structural layout, together with the request that various living functions be combined as far as possible. The layout, the custom-made furniture, the choice of materials, the colours and the furnishing are the work of Roelfien Vos.

Roelfien Vos chose the materials. She also designed the fixed furniture and the colour plan, and she arranged the interiors of the rooms.
For this French-style manor house in Belgium, which previously had a classic interior design, the client had a very clear brief. The house needed to be given a modern interior which radiated luxury and used unconventional materials.
The line marking is one of the most unusual and striking details. This line runs along the floor and can be found in the use of a contrasting colour of wood and brushed stainless steel. In the furniture, this line is visible as a separating line or a stitched line in the leather upholstery.
